Japan Tour September 2014
I am just back from Japan and I decided to write a little bit about my wonderful trip to share those moments with you as well. First few days were spent in Hamamatsu more specifically in Popstar Club, where I had a super nice group of people to work with for Euroeducation Urban Reggaeton course. All these lovely people below were sensational to work with over 2 long days and they seem more than happy with the certificates received. Even that much that I got a huge sloppy kiss
It was actually a very interesting experience as I got to teach this course in Spanish. My first time ever in another language besides my mother tongue Estonian and English of course. The reason being Popstar Club Katia Nishimura is actually half Brazilian half Japanese yet we communicate in Spanish. This snap is taken half way through our first day.
After 2 days of hard work and a lot of fun of course was time for even more fun as Popstar Club had planned a charity event full of classes like Reggaeton, GlamDance, Zumba and more. Twice during the day the classes were held with a live band and I actually got to teach the Reggaeton team class with Katia with a very funky looking Cuban trio Los Cativos. Of course they had their very own stage yet we managed to get the boys to join us for the final show and cool down and the screams from the dance floor made it clear that it was the only way to finish the day.
Up next was Tokyo. In a great little dance studio I got to work with many great teachers as well as dance lovers and also experience an earthquake. Did you know that there is an earthquake in Japan in every 2-3 days? This one fortunately lasted only several minutes making the lights of the studio visibly move and we were all ready to run out in case it continued or got stronger. Another first for me during this trip
Of course we had to get several selfies taken and this one was for finishing up our 2nd UR course in Tokyo.
Goodbye to Katia and her beautiful daughter Brenda, who by the way put on a stunning popping-locking show on Hamamatsu Charity Event, was short and sweet as these 2 beautiful ladies had to leave us for the last night in Tokyo.
Yet again I had a great week in Japan with many beautiful moments, a lot of hard work and mouthwatering food and I really hope to be back there soon again as this country is seriously interesting experience in so many ways.
Thank you to Popstar Club and Katia for such an amazing trip and of course to everyone, who took part of UR courses and charity event and loads of love from good old Dublin to you!
Love E
