WellFest can be a day out to either kick start a fitness regime or to simply expand the knowledge of those who love to exercise but are eager to learn new skills from top professionals.

This time I will be teaching Reggaeton. You don’t know what it is? Take a look below ;-)

beetroot juice

Let’s start juicing!

So I’m finally reacting to many requests from my ever so demanding customers and as such I have decided to occasionally blog about different types of juices I’m rewarding myself with to stay healthy and fit (perhaps some recipe ideas in the future also)!

Here is my BEETROOT STRAWBERRY HEAVEN! Overall I am super happy with the taste of this beautiful juice. Just a right amount of beetroot so it won’t take over your tastebuds and a tad of strawberries to add a bit of sweetness.

1 medium size beetroot

5 strawberries

4 small apples

1 carrot

1 lemon

1 small piece of ginger

Beetroot contains potassium, magnesium, iron, vitamins A, B6 and C, folic acid, antioxidants and soluble fibre. It’s know for blood pressure management and some studies suggest that it may be able to fight the progression of dementia.

Strawberries contain dietary fibre, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, vitamin C and A and folic acid. They are known for working against heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

Apples contain dietary fibre, magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin C, K, B, riboflavin and thiamin. They are known for improving neurological health, preventing dementia, reducing the rick of stroke and diabetes, lowering cholesterol and fighting against breast cancer.

Carrots contain calcium, iron, beta-carotene, fiber, vitamin A, C, K, potassium, folate, manganese, phosphorous, magnesium, vitamin E and zinc. They are know for reducing cancer and cardiovascular disease risks, also restoring vision.

Lemon contains fiber, vitamin C and B-6, thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper and manganese. It’s know for lowering stroke risk, combating cancer, maintaining a healthy complexion, preventing asthma, increasing iron absorption and boosting the immune system.

Ginger is known for fighting against inflammation of the colon, muscle pain caused by exercise, nausea caused by chemotherapy, ovarian cancer, asthma symptoms, liver damage caused by acetaminophen, high blood pressure, painful menstruation and migraines.

So if that looks appealing to you, get your ingredients and let’s start juicing!
