Why Functional Training?

The activities we perform in our daily life are never as straightforward as simple biceps curls with dumbbells or seated row on one of the gym machines. Therefore functional fitness is focusing training the body the way that you actually improve your daily life whether you are running after the kids, picking up your shopping bag or lifting heavy boxes in the household. In functional training class exercises are similar to real life activities and are designed to allow you to perform your day to day activities more easily and without injuries. Every exercise involves more than just one muscle group so that you work with your body as one full unit. Never we work with just one muscle at the time therefore this form of exercise is really beneficial in terms of getting to know your body and keeping it healthy!

There are numerous amounts of benefits to this type of training and to name a few I have made a little list below:

  1. Perform everyday activities better
  2. Improved power and strength levels
  3. Stronger core
  4. Better balance and flexibility
  5. Improved overall fitness level
  6. Lower stress level
  7. Lower the risk of many health issues
  8. Boost metabolism
  9. Improved posture
  10. Good night sleep

Training session will involve exercises with our own body weight as well as with equipment. There will be balance between the two so that you can recover from more challenging ones before the next set of exercises. Some of the equipment we will be using include resistance bands, mini bands, Bender balls, Gliding discs and skipping rope.

So now is the time to get your workout gear organised and hit my classes. Join me & exercise your cares away!

Benefits of the Strong Core classes

Why Strong Core class? Because this 45 min class is working with your abdominals as well as with your lower back and sides and is designed to give you a beautifully shaped lean abdominals. With regular training and good diet you shall see the changes in your look within weeks.

We will be using a several different equipment in our training sessions to make this workout really efficient. To name a few – Bender Balls and Gliding Discs.

Bender Balls are designed by an american master trainer Lesley Bender, who is certified by American College of Sports Medicine and National Academy of Sports Medicine and who trains top fitness instructors around the world to become better fitness instructors and has certified over 1500 trainers internationally. Here is something interesting about Bender Ball method. University tests show that using Bender Balls for abdominal crunches works 408% more effectively than regular or large exercise ball crunch.
